Katrina, Haiti - rethugs just can't help themselves, can they?
It seems like just after Katrina, the rethugs just couldn't contain their racism. Now after Haiti, we see the same pattern from them. They put on such a straight face during times of peace. They prop up Michael Steele, as if to say "see, we're not really all that racist, are we?" They feign mock outrage over Harry Reid's comments. Yet when something truly horrific occurs, when the poorest nation on earth is struck by a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions, their racism comes boiling to the surface.

This is who they truly are. Never forget that.

2. I hate to sound crass, but the darker the skin, the less conservatives care.
Conservatives don't really seem to mind so much about sending relief to help disaster victims in other parts of the world. But goddamned, let disaster strike the poorest of New Orleans, Haiti, or somewhere in Africa, and not only are they quiet, but they gripe about "why don't they help themselves".

3. I was at a Ladies Spa,
which shall remain nameless, after Katrina, when a very fat woman while marching to "My God is an Awesome God" (they play that there) spouted, "The Lord is makin' 'em pay now! Bet there repentin' down there now" I'm still sick that I didn't confront her, which would have made a scene and ended my membership. I finally quit anyway when they started including The Star Spangled Banner in their repertoire of background music.

6. I can't wait til they once again send the stupid chain email out about the midwest floods
that happened some time after Katrina insinuating that us good ol' white folks just picked ourselves up by the bootstraps in Wisconsin and Indiana while those poor lazy (insert implied race) in New Orleans were just waiting for the gov't to take care of them. Of course, I didn't see Indianapolis or Milwaukee under water with no avenues of exit, but they can't be bothered with facts as they sit munching on cheetos watching Faux news....
