FBI issues new photos in hunt for Osama Bin Laden

In its never-ending quest to hunt down Osama bin Laden, first under George Bush and now under Barack Obama, the FBI has released two images depicting how the fugitive al-Qaeda leader might look today at age 51.

In one of the digitally enhanced photographs, bin Laden is shown in western clothing. He looks much older than his last video - released exactly a year ago - with hair that is short and greying, and a trimmed beard. The second photo shows the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks in his usual garb, with a white turban and a longer, greyer beard.

Osama bin Laden - "Usama bin Laden", as the FBI prefers to spell his name - is one of 18 wanted terrorist suspects whose photos have been digitally enhanced by FBI forensic artists. Along with the new photos, the FBI website also lists his characteristics as "full beard, moustache; walks with cane".

As an incentive, the FBI is offering a $25 million reward. Over the past 26 years, the bureau's Rewards for Justice Program has paid out more than $50 million to people who have provided credible information that has lead to the capture and conviction of terrorists and even, it claims, prevented acts of terror.

7. If you look at the FBI's 10 Most Wanted info

you'll see that there is no mention of the 9/11/2001 incident. http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm This is because the FBI has already stated publicly that there is absolutely no evidence linking him to those attacks. Exactly what evidence the Department of State Rewards For Justice Program has linking him to those attacks (that the FBI doesn't have), I don't know.
