Pass the damn thing and lets move on. Maybe the sausage making on energy reform will be entertaining... Then there is going to be elections and that always gets interesting..:-(

4. Garbage in, garbage out
We are so hosed with this piece of crap. We will still have double the health costs of anybody else, and to be honest, I don't know who this really helps. I know who it taxes, especially since it isn't indexed to medical costs. Seniors will still have to sort through dozens of bull shit plans that only cover half their drugs. Ike warned us about these guys and it has come to pass. I fail to see how we can ever recover from corporate entitlement rule.

5. It will help people with pre-existing conditions
who can't get insurance at any price now.

My feeling is that whatever the merits of this bill (and there are some), a system that combines for-profit health insurance with substantial taxpayer subsidies for not only the poor but a large segment of the middle class will be fiscally unsustainable and will eventually collapse under its own weight. Maybe then we'll get a national health care system that makes sense. Maybe.

6. Does make it seem uncoordinated and panic driven, doesn't it?
