MA-Sen: Why did Scott Brown vote against aid to 9/11 recovery workers?
Greg Sargent:

One month after the September 11th attacks, Scott Brown was one of only three Massachusetts State Representatives to vote against a bill to provide financial assistance to Red Cross workers who had volunteered with 9/11 recovery efforts, we’ve learned.

Why did Brown vote against 9/11 workers?

The Brown campaign acknowledged the vote to us, claiming the measure would have taxed already-strained state finances.

So in the aftermath of worst terror attack in American history, Scott Brown put his right-wing vision of fiscal austerity ahead of helping the nation's recovery efforts. That's pretty much the definition of radical conservativism -- and it reflects the exact opposite of the values that Ted Kennedy fought for his entire life.

4. Scott Brown is also a bigot and a bully:

This is the statement that State Sen. Scott Brown released on Tuesday, Feb. 13, about the incident at King Philip High School:

As you can imagine, I have received and responded to hundreds of emails regarding the incident at King Philip High School last Thursday. I wanted to share a synopsis of the events at KP and what let up to them in order to clear up the extensive misinformation that is out there.

About tow weeks ago, a couple legislators and I received an e-mail from somebody calling us “miserable, vicious and vacuous” among other things because we voted to allow the marriage amendment to move forward to the voters. Later, we learned that the writer of this critical e-mail was a teacher at KP. I received a few calls from parents who mentioned that the teacher was misrepresenting my position on this matter in the classroom. The parents were very concerned the teacher was pushing his personal agenda on their children.

I called the superintendent of King Philip to confirm this situation and he did. We discussed having a presentation with the classes this teacher taught to discuss the legislative process, controversial issues including same-sex marriage and other topics in order to teach the students another side of these issues.
