His daughter Ayla Brown was a contestant on "American Idol" about 3 or 4 years ago, and made it to the finals, but was voted off pretty early in the finals. She was an adequate singer but not really great. She was also a basketball player or something. When she was voted off she was crushed and her father bought her an expensive new car - I forget what kind - as a consolation prize.

21. To me she kind of came across as one of those "pampered kids"

who gets "the best of everything" and was a star basketball player, then a singer, then who knows, she would have probably entered the Miss America pageant, then become a TV newscaster, then a politician herself, bla bla bla. It's like they want her to have "the perfect life" and being on "American Idol" was another feather in her cap, something else to have on her resume. And when she was voted off, her father bought her an expensive car, proving to me at least my suspicion about her being spoiled.
