Coakley/Clinton Rally in Boston today
I was able to get in the front row. I'm trying to upload photo's of Martha, but Photobucket is being a little pain in the ass.

Here's what I've got so far.

Mr. Gray snapped this just as Bill was shaking my hand

I got the rest of these.

Here we go....Martha, who is cute as a button

You could feel Ted in the room today, tho. Lots of love for that guy in Boston.

21. I really don't understand why Kerry has the reputation for not being funny
when even in the Senate, he uses humor more than most of his peers.

Can't have the man who uncovered IranContra, BCCI, S&L problems, and CIA drugrunning to increase his power and access to even more hidden documents now, can you?

47. LOL, "Silent Scott". I love it! :D
I assume he means this in terms of Brown's record (or relative lack thereof).

I think Kerry is very funny when he wants to be. Does anyone remember when he was on Letterman during the '04 campaign and the quips he made about the seating arrangements for the upcoming debates (he joked that he and Edwards could stand up while Bush could sit in Cheney's lap, lol) and about how he could just ask Teresa to "pay for the whole damn thing" (I think he was referring to the deficit). I thought those were hilarious. :D I don't get the whole "unfunny" or "boring" meme about him at all. Never did.

Great pics, btw! Lucky! :) And it seems like there was real energy in the crowd, not to mention that it seems to have significantly outnumbered the one at Brown's rally. :D

Thanks for sharing!

And yes, after the rally he went to the Midtown headquarters. :banghead:

Many more standing outside and in other rooms to hear the speech. Great, great, awesome turnout.

23. And that's what separates him from the denizens of the right.
Whatever his shortcomings, he cared about more than just corporations and their bottom line. He cared about PEOPLE. I have seen him called a closet Republican more than once on this board, but Bill Clinton has WAY too much humanity to ever be confused with the party of Rush.

I was in the front row today, and he has this way of looking at you for more than 3 or 4 seconds. THAT is what makes him connect with people. You feel as if he is talking right to you.

You and/or Mr Gray really got some nice shots of everyone. Kerry looks like he is recovering well from his hip operations. For the amount of sleep Clinton likely has gotten, it is surprising that he looks better than he has in other photos.

Hopefully, you will have some stories of the event.

27. A Question...
Can someone please, please answer a question for me? Do you think crowd sizes at campaign rallies make any difference? Because I checked looked up news about the Scott Brown rally, with Rudolph Guilliani, today. The report covering Scott Brown's rally said that over 200 people showed up to his rally. I saw a picture, and it looked a bit scarce out there. And, I think they were outside. I read another article that covered Martha Coakely's rally with Bill Clinton, and the it said that over 750 people were there. Theirs was held indoors. Do you think the sizes of the crowds at their campaign rallies matter?

The attendees today were pumped. People came from all over. I think the size of a crowd proves a lot.

I gotta connect with people and get them fired up like they fire me up. I already convinced several people 19 and 20 years old to get out and vote Tuesday. Prior to that, they didn't even know it was a voting day.
