Kucinich to Introduce "Responsible Bankers Act"
January 12, 2010 - Congressman Dennis Kucinich is seeking a 75% tax on the extraordinary bonuses that bankers are planning to pay themselves through the use of windfall profits earned from massive taxpayer support of the financial services industry.

Congressman Kucinich introduced legislation on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 to impose the tax, stating the "Responsible Bankers Act" will not penalize banks for making a profit, but rather will tax the bonus pools that are set aside. On December 10, 2009, Congressman Kucinich indicated that he intended to introduce legislation to "Tax Bankers' Bonuses." After the introduction of the "Responsible Bankers Act," Congressman Kucinich released the following statement:

10. I'm not sure what you are saying.
Are you saying that standing up for the people is the future? If so, I hope you are right.

Edited to add that I don't think that's incompatible with being behind Kucinich.

21. To be transparent is to be "honest." That, in a nutshell is Kucinich.
As for playing to an audience, I assume you mean his "constituents."

If you just mean it psychologically, do you mean there are actually politicians who are NOT playing to an audience? In fact, who doesn't play to an audience?

I love Grayson, but he's playing to an audience big time, both his constituents and a larger American audience.

27. If Obama talked about (and promised it)
why should we have to rely on a freshman congressman to make it happen? Has Obama's time (as an effective leader) come and gone?

the faux outrage claiming it was unconstitutional when Obama proposed it?
