Seasons for Peace and Nonviolence
S.P.A.N. the Next Decade
As a result of a decade of sustained strategic action, the Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence has helped to launch a new model for omni-local, spiritually-based peace governance, igniting a fusion of new communities and initiatives. “S.P.A.N. the Next Decade” celebrates four “Seasons” each year; groups may choose to participate in every season, specific seasons, or focus on one season as a theme for their permanent work.

A Season for Nonviolence: January 30 - April 4
A Season for Nonviolence is a national 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating hat non-violence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. Inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., this international event honors their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world.

A Season for the Earth: April - June
Season for the EArth is devoted to focusing our consciousness-in-action so we are better able to heal, nurture and transform the environment-- an undertaking now vital beyond description. AGNT has partnered with some of the top environmental awareness organizations tht we truly believe also hold the vision of spiritually-motivated social activism.

A Season for Humane Service: June - August
A Season for Humane Service is all about compassionate service and giving. 2009 marks the second year of the season, which is continuing to evolve in structure and content. WE have carefully researched and chosen programs to represent the current focus of humanitarian programs around the globe. We assure you that your participation in the Seasno for Humane Service will contribute to "A World of Good".

A Season for Interfaith Celebration: September - December
Join hundreds of task forces around the world in prayer gatherings and workshops focusing on interfaith communication and harmony. Beginning in 2008, we are partnering with Unity for 11 Days of Global Unity. This celebration of oneness spans from September 11 (Unity World Day of Prayer) to September 21 (The United Nations’ International Day of Peace).
