Edit: The scope of this tragedy really hits the soul when I realized that some of the greatest need in Haiti along with aid to survivors will be funeral service workers, morticians etc. Disheartening tragedy.

This is now about the living - the dead will be treated like they are treated in every crisis - dignity will be possible for the few who arrange it for their dead and then they'll have a massive cathartic ceremony for those who need it.

They aren't even taking pictures of the dead, noting physical attributes, tattoos, etc., just rolling them out of dump trucks into holes dug into the ground along with TRASH. I saw a video of it on CNN; the dump truck was half filled with human bodies and debris and he just backed up and unloaded it into a hole in the ground.

For the next 75 years many living today will NEVER know what happened to their loved ones.
