LANGLEY, Va. – A group led by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan has protested near the CIA's headquarters and former Vice President Dick Cheney's home in northern Virginia.

They were protesting the use of unmanned drone aircraft to attack al-Qaida and Taliban targets.

1. "She says using drones is "cowardly" and "immoral.""
She would prefer the Matt Dillon or John Wayne method and call out the bad guys to meet them face to face on the street at high noon.

3. The irony is that she seems to be advocating more mothers have to go though what she went through
in terms of losing a son or daughter, by having them get killed in combat

6. Those are drones are the best recruiting tool for insurgents.
So, how is that "keeping troops safe"?

11. When has a pilot ever been endangered in either of these conflicts?
Only when there are too many aircraft in the air and they crash into each other. Please. What about all the civilians that are killed? You don't care about them obviously. Not surprising.

21. What you are ignoring is that
the collateral damage of killing innocent people while maybe or maybe not
taking out a high value target is creating MORE terrorists.

9. When the said cheney's house
I thought it was the mansion in Maryland. You all know the one where he tried to have Marylanders banned from the cove where they had fished for almost 300 years. He said it spoiled his view. Does that sort of beautiful mind and beautiful view thing run in the republican party. Do they think if they can make things beautiful to look at it will do away with the slime and putrid mess they created.

18. This woman really either needs to get educated or stay home.
Drones are a great way to accomplish certain tasks without risking lives.

There's nothing "immoral" or "cowardly" about that.

22. This woman is educated with a degree in history
And knows it pretty darn well.
When she says the CIA works for the robber class and corporations and not the American people
she sums it up pretty well. The CIA is killing innocent people in these so called precision attacks
and creating the next generation of terrorists. What about the lives of the innocent? Is it okay to
risk those lives?

19. Oh, dear God...
She should protest in front of someone's home who actually determines US foreign policy. She could start at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Protesting at Dick Cheney's home over the current use of drones is shark-jumping at its finest.

24. Why do people always attack the conduct of the war instead of the actual war itself?
Would Sheehan support the war if we were just marching troops into Taliban controlled areas and ordering them to shoot anything that moves?

25. Protest in DC March 22 as long as it takes- tent city begins March 13
POTA will begin on Monday, March 22nd and we will end when the troops start to come home.

Individual commitment will entail an at least a once a week CR mission and support to the group at large through contributing to the running and infrastructure of our encampment and the care and feeding of activists.

Beginning March 13th, we will erect a tent city on the Ellipse between the White House and the Washington Monument to house, feed and otherwise care for everyone who participates and needs a place to stay.

Your commitment can range from the entire action: Until our demands are met; or any other chunk of time that you are available.
