Could someone explain to me the word 'unrecommend' that I
see at the end of a post? I have been absent from DU for awhile and don't understand
what the purpose would even be to UN-recommend something.

If I don't like something I ignore it. But I feel like I'm missing something here.

Thanks.

2. It is simply a vote as to whether or not the thread deserves placement on the "Greatest Threads"
page.

Prior to its addition, there was only "recommend" and it took just 5 votes to place a thread on the greatest threads page.

Now it takes a majority vote.

6. Kind of complicated if you ask me. Why not raise the amount of votes
to be placed in the greatest page threads?

Just asking.

7. Having both a yay and a nay vote is complicated?
Interesting.

Does the steering wheel on your car only turn one direction?

3. I think it is a way to cut down on the number of posts making it to the Greatest page
just an assumption

5. On Unrec...
It's a relatively new feature... sort of "Gladiator DU".

The folks in the cheap seats get to give the thumbs down without actually having to get in the ring themselves.
