Scott Brown thought maybe Obama was born out of wedlock

Born out of wedlock? Really??

Well, yes. During (or maybe shortly after) the 2008 Republican convention, Brown was on a panel discussion (aired on the now-defunct CN8 cable news channel) about Sarah Palin. He defended her pretty strongly, as you'd expect. But then, in the course of discussing Bristol Palin, Scott comes up with this:

[ You can see the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hecen-81w0g&feature=player_embedded ]

Wow. Just to reiterate, in case you can't see the video: in response to the statement that Obama's mother was married when she gave birth, Scott says, "well, I don't know about that." Then he chuckles. "Uh huh huh."

So -- it turns out that "respectable" "establishment" Mainstream" Republican Scott Brown is a fringe teabagger birther conspirawacko who takes his talking points and marching orders from swiftboater Jerome Corsi and birther Andy Martin.

It's time for DUers in the Massachusetts crucible to flood the zone -- call your local newspapers, TV stations, radio local news departments, and grassroots GOTV groups and let them know that the GOP candidate is an extremist.

NOTE TO MODERATORS: While this may be considered a "blog" post, BlueMassGroup's site has done a superb job of investigative and expository journalism on this matter. This is breaking news.

This is the sort of fact that will get out Obama's base. Brown is Inhofe in New England drag.

4. Bigger issue: What the hell is wrong with having been born out of wedlock?
What the hell can a baby do about the way that he or she was born?

If Obama's kids had been born out of wedlock, that MIGHT be worth bringing up. If anything, this shames Obama's deceased mother, not Obama.

Stay classy, Scott, you miserable POS.

10. Yes, this goes back to the old practice of marking birth certificates
with the word "Illegitimate" as if any baby could be so.

Now, embittered losers whose world view is losing traction as illegitimate? Sure.

People who pick on children and animals do so because they're afraid to pick on grown people. Those bullies are shit.

5. Unfortunately comments like this confuse the issue:
"Barack saw his mother, who was very young and very single when she had him, and he saw her work hard to complete her education and try to raise he and his sister.”

Michelle Obama speaking in Kansas City in 2008.
