Thousands protest sheriff's immigration efforts (Arpaio)
Source: AP via WLOS (ABC13)

PHOENIX .. Organizers say a massive protest aimed at an Arizona sheriff's immigration efforts was meant to show officials in Washington that he shouldn't handle immigration enforcement ...

An estimated 10,000 immigrant rights advocates turned out for the demonstration today in Phoenix.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says ... they should be directing their frustrations at Congress because it has the power to change America's immigration laws ...

Phoenix police say five people were arrested during the protest and taken to Maricopa County Jail.

3. It is unconscionable that man is allowed to be a high sheriff in this nation.
He should be behind bars himself.

4. The worst thing we do to the Mexican people is allow the illegal crossing
Before you flame me - hear me out

The reason people cross the border illegally is because the desperate economic conditions brought on by the wealthy elite who economically suppress the poor in that country. The illegal crossing into America serves as a "Relief Valve" of discontent. Without that relief valve, the Mexican people would have over throwen their corrupt government decades ago

Sure we allow "Trade" with the wealthy elite (coffee for example) who create so much suffering, while at the same time punish those who have already been economically persecuted by those same people.

We can build a fence to keep the people out, but nothing will improve until we legislate a wall to prevent the ill gotten gains of the persecutors out

Just Sayin...
