Rush Limbaugh's charity giving...
M. Matalin said today on CNN that Rush gives more to charity than many of his critics. I would really like to know. To what charities does Limbaugh contribute besides the Republican Party, NRA, and Sarah Palin?

2. Honey, Mary Matalin is full of shit, yet her statement is "factually" correct.
She said Rush gives more than "many" of his critics. Well, he's got millions of critics, so finding "many" who may be too poor to contribute would not be that tough a task.

10. well 'more' needs to be qualified as a percentage
the other sad fact was that when Obama put forward his tax records that he had substantial income, but not very substantial giving.

Although I would not be surprised if conservatives have an advantage on this. For one thing, donations to the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute are considered 'charitable'. I don't know if donations to the CBPP or the Brookings Institute have the same classification.

7. Well, I say that horseshoe crabs can fly and all ducks speak french
Just because that Matalin woman says something doesn't make it so. I really don't trust anyone who can speak without moving her mouth -- what's she trying to hide anyway?

I'm sure that fool picks and chooses his "charities" very carefully.

8. Since he makes more per year than we can even dream of...
he should be giving more.

I doubt some of the "organizations" keep tabs of what they take in.

9. He makes $37.4 million per year (not including speeches, books, stock earnings)
If he's not giving away 36.4 million per year, he's not giving away enough.

IMHO

14. I'm sure he does have his charities.
And I can't fault him for being charitable to any organization. It isn't my money or my call.

What I can fault him for is the uncharitable, cold-hearted, guttersnipe bullcrap that spews from his foul mouth every time he opens it. He doesn't come by his vile speech by accident or ignorance or just dense stupidity. He plans it with calculating purpose. His speech is wretched and hateful no matter how many charities see his cash.

Limbaugh's website maintains a page where US soldiers can register for a free subscription to Limbaugh's online premium service, Rush 24/7, through memberships purchased by donors who buy a subscription (at a reduced price) as a gift...

17. On principle alone
there are charities that should refuse Limbaugh money. I bet they'd make 10x whatever they gave back from the public at large.
