Harold Ford Jr.: "It was GOOD to hear President Bush's voice!"
Yeah, I just love the sound of fingernails across a chalkboard too, Harold. It's hard to feel good about these two leading the fundraising effort for Haiti knowing full well the damage they helped heap upon that country, but not for Harold Ford Jr. He's just lovin' that bipartisanship, don't you know... and the sound of George Bush's voice. Good grief.

33. Why SHOULDN'T they lead the effort? They're the only two w/ military experience in Haiti.
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 02:55 AM by Leopolds Ghost
Why do you think Clinton/Bush were chosen? They both led coups there.

Hint, not to make amends for Katrina.

2. oh, how I missed Bush
stuttering and stumbling over every word, and basically butchering the English language. I would rather listen to the "Pina Colada"song(the most annoying song on the face of the planet) for 24 hours straight than listen to Bush for five minutes.

Harold Ford should just pull a Parker Griffith and join the GOP already.. he is sounding more and more like them ever day.

Edited on Sun Jan-17-10 10:02 PM by Jamastiene
emails George W. Bush, we can tell each of them the other is cheating with Big Dawg and break up that ungodly love triangle.

Imagine how many more people would be able to bring themselves to give to the charity and how much more of the relief money could actually go to help if Shrubya wasn't all in the damn way and needing to be babysat.

And to Harold Ford, Jr.: fuck off, asshole.

12. Is Derek Jeter the twin brother of Harold Ford?

Or is it pure coincidence that they just look like identical twins? (yes, I know Jeter's smile is more real/sincere...but still)

I guess that's what makes me different from Howard Ford Jr. - For me, hearing that voice is like having a bad trip flashback.

You just lost any chance of winning a primary against a fairly popular New York incumbent Senator.

Harold Ford should be ashamed of himself. Why doesn't he switch parties already. Maybe he is hoping to pull a Lieberman and get elected as a Democrat, I hope it never happens. He doesn't belong in any sort of power position!

40. No surprise - he used to brag that Bush called him "Fordy"
No joke. He went around the campaign trail here in Tennessee telling people this, apparently to endear himself to the mythical cross-over Republican vote.

42. Gee, Harold Ford Jr ....
must be a cheap date. I would hate to think how he would react if Bush said "nuclear." He'd probably cream his jeans, so to speak. I could live my whole live quite well without ever hearing or seeing Bush again. And that goes for Mommy and Poppy too.

43. so they're talking about Clinton and Bush helping with Haiti relief
and Ford makes a friendly remark about Bush and every comment on this thread is critical of that? Would you prefer Bush had told Obama fuck you, fuck Haiti, let them rebuild their country themselves? I think it's great Bush is getting involved and perhaps can convince people who are as ideologically conservative and distrustful of anything Obama would want to do re: Haiti as people commenting here are ideologically liberal and intolerant of anything positive a former republican president can aiding in a natural disaster. You could put anyone in the senate in that seat in that interview and their words would've been similarly conveyed.
