2. Bush did initiate the Tarp (Bailouts) of the Banks. Obama continued |
|
the Policy. While we have TeaBaggers so rabid they are foaming at the mouth and some DUers seething over Bailouts, these two Presidents saved this nation. While I am not in the habit of praising Bush for anything, the very fact that he did this can be used as an argument that they were correct. Bush is an arch conservative who spent his Presidency pushing the country so far right it caused serious damage. IMO, The COP and their Far Right Economic Fundamentalism pushed us to the cliff. Therefore, it took every bit of strength for a Republican like Bush to self-correct and agree to a Keynesian Policy to stop the crash. The Scary Thing is the rest of the Republican Party has not seen the error of their ways and therefore encourage the Teabaggers. They permit the Teabaggers to go on wrongly believing we should have just not helped the Banks. This is irresponsible. If we have a Depression it will make the Great Depression look like child'd play. These same Tea Party groups will cause civil unrest.
GW does deserve credit being able to put Country before his Conservative Economic Fundamentalism in a time of Crisis. His Party, No. I am not saying this absolves Bush of a what I perceive as being wrong through out his Presidency.
I am being fair. We Liberals believe in fairness. This means all the time, not just when it is convenient.
One can make the argument that Obama has had to do the major lifting in getting the Banking System stabalized. This is and has been a major success so far in his Presidency. Democrats have been cleaning up GOP Messes since 1932. means fairness at all times.

How many thousands of US service men and women...and how many tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens...men, women, and children...are dead because Bush and his friends decided to invade a country that hadn't done us any harm...
We can always get our money back, and even if we can't, we still have our lives.
Nothing can ever bring those dead people back.
George Bush is a pile of shit.
