5. Buggy? It's Apple, not Microsoft.. I've yet to have a bug in any
of my Apple products, and I can't say the same for my PC. So, I've become one of those Apple snobs. :7

27. I'm sorry that happened -- I honestly haven't had one problem with any
of my Apple stuff. My best friend's sister, though, just "lost" everything on her Mac. So it DOES happen.

I thought THE classic (although in a different vein, sort of) was the MAD TV iRack -- remember that?

26. You must be lucky
Cheaply made ipods and iphones that mysteriously stop working. Machines that refuse to shut down. You have to actually pull the plug on them. That's been a problem for Apple going back to the 90's. Overpriced underpowered crap. Apple has plenty of it.

6. I'm sick of Apple and this is coming from someone with 2 of em'
I love my older PowerBook G4 but paying so much more for an x86 system is ridiculous.

I'm not doing it any more.

10. Apples are so expensive for what you get, it's fucking ridiculous.
Seriously, and the more I use Windows 7 - the more I like it, and this is coming from an Apple fanboy of sorts. I just bought a custom-built Toshiba with literally the exact same specs as the highest-end Macs for like 1/2 the cost.

this is what we use at work - C5 Motion Tablet. We've used it for a year and before that we had another model. I'm sure Apple will have a better, purdier model. :)

21. I find it ironic that so many "Green" people I know will buy ANYTHING from Apple
...and stay updated with the latest version. Like Apple doesn't use any natural resources
to build their stuff, like they don't overuse electric power to operate, and like there's a
magic dimension where the millions of obsolete iPods go for disposal.

Apple gets a pass on everything from people who usually abhor consumerism and wasting natural resources.

22. Curiously enough, we've never actually had to dispose of an iPod!
iPod #1 eventually got "re-gifted" and we've since lost
track of it.

iPod #2 is still in service although its dead battery means
it stays tethered to a stereo as our principal music source
in that room.

iPod #3 is still in daily use.

And iPod #4 is actually an iPhone, also in daily use.

Apple stuff tends to stay on service a lot longer than
PC stuff; that's a nice, "green" attribute!

25. My iPhone lasted a year and 4 months...
Not is works, kind of. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. The "geniuses" had no clue and were excited that I qualified for an upgrade. Wasn't planning on spending 199$ though. I'm going to try to make this one last for as long as possible, but its dying.

30. If there's no water damage or other signs of physical abuse, ...
Write or call Steve Job's office. The folks there often have
the authority to "do something for you", even in an out-of-
warranty situation.

31. I've been to the "genius bar" twice and they've only encouraged
me to upgrade to the new 3GS since they could not figure out the problem. It all started after I upgraded to 3.1.2. I shouldn't have to write to the CEO to get a company to support their products. I may take your advice though because there is no way to live without a phone in my career.

32. I'll agree that you "shouldn't have to" but I know from experience...
with several different companies that contacting the
CEO's office will often get you some action on difficult
cases.
