6. They don't matter enough for me to care about them.....
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 08:19 PM by FrenchieCat
they only matter in the minds of the delussional......
who start with jack shit and end with jack shit,
and get jack shit all the way in between,
cause with them is all or nothing;
so they end up with nothing.

In my world, the only thing that matters is congress
passing shit that means steps forward.

Period.

8. Kaine has been very disappointing. I rarely see him on TV, I get
no emails from him.

When Dean was Chairman he had a very strong presence, now you wouldn't even know there's a DNC.

9. When Dean was Chairman we were the party out of power.....
which is usually how it works; the party out of power get shown more on TV,
cause they ain't got the President.

12. When Dean was chairman Bush and Cheney were in power.
It was anti-incumbency voting then. It's anti-incumbency voting now.

14. Perhaps. But I just don't feel the same passion from Kaine that I
did from Dean. Maybe it's the difference between trying to get the power back versus maintaining it. But an email now and then would be nice.

16. Wait, what?
At what point were Dems ever shown more on TV? Because honestly I may have been sleeping for that or something. Because every time I turned on a tv political show or round table or discussion when republicans had the presidency, it was at BEST a point/counter point situation. I don't recall any Dem, Dean or otherwise being given a bully pulpit simply because Dems didn't have the presidency. For every time Dean was on there was always a strong republican counterpoint (lying through his or her teeth usually, but a strong assertive counterpoint nonetheless) even when they were in power.

They don't need no help.
Even if Progressives Liberals who mistakenly
thought they had elected a tall tan Kucinich
have helped them out a whole lot....

and you know what the Progressive Liberals will get for their trouble?
of Holding to the Fire the feet of the only ones that could help them gain anything.....?
jack shit. That's what.

23. Can you imagine if Dean were still DNC chair now...
...with the Dems this close to losing Ted Kennedy's Senate seat? No doubt there would be squeals of outrage from certain quarters... Carville and Emmanuel, to name a few notables.

We'd be out a Senate seat, and those two will stay. Bank on it. However, I sincerely hope Coakley wins.

27. They will go no where. They will continue to enjoy their power
placement. After Dean, kaine is useless, as if we didn't know that as soon as we heard his name announced. rahm will blame it all on the fringe elements in the Democratic party.
He is never to blame for anything, quick to take credit for successes when he contributed nothing, 2006 midterms come to mind. Those liberal bloggers and progressive groups did it.

I am just extremely disappointed as I really did come around to thinking Obama was going to be the leader this country needs. He isn't.

29. If Tim Kaine were 'out' would anyone even notice?
Has this guy done anything at all for the past year?

When Dean held that position he seemed to be working a lot harder to build up the party, and also had much more of a public profile.
