13. How was the turnout? Was there a line?
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 02:12 PM by rocktivity
When I went to vote for Obama, I was realistic enough to expect a line even before the polls opened at 6AM. But I figured I'd be in and out in more than enough time to catch my 6:30AM bus to work. I arrived at 5:45, and there were at least seventy-five people ahead of me--that's how many I counted before I had to leave!

10. Voted at 7:30 for Martha
I'm usually the first person at my station to vote (yes, seriously - we're not that big) but got there a little late today and tarnished my record. On the bright side, there was a steady stream from when I pulled in the lot to when I left.

11. I'll be voting early tomorrow for IL's primary in Feb 2nd.
I like voting early and try to get others to do so. For one thing, the uninformed get in there before the final lies start from the rightwing the last couple weeks. They get rabid then....as we have seen.

14. Yep. And on a day when I wouldn't ordinarily leave the house
because it snowed and the roads weren't plowed or sanded.

It was seriously scary out there.
