Yet another asshat blames Haitians "practice of Voodoo " and Satan as cause of quake!
Evil spirits responsible for deadly quake

A LONDONDERRY minister has blamed the practice of Voodoo and the "worship of evil spirits" for unleashing last week's catastrophic earthquake on the people of Haiti

It is estimated between 45,000 and 50,000 Haitians were killed by a massive earthquake on Tuesday, January 12.
Thousands more were left in conditions of dire poverty and without aid and medical assistance as a result of the quake.

It is believed the final death toll could run to hundreds of thousands.

But Rev. Campbell of Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church said that because of the widespread practice of the traditional animist religion of Voodoo - a "dangerous and destructive religion" - on Hispaniola, evil spirits had caused the quake.
The local minister did however express sympathy for the stricken Haitians and said Satan was ultimately responsible for the "awful tragedy."
Rev. Campbell also refuted reports that he had said the people of Haiti deserved their fate. This he roundly denies.

2. I just don't understand their logic
Hah, did I say logic? No, that's not what I meant, but whatever they're thinking.

I thought that the whole point of selling your soul to the devil was so that you could PROSPER in this life for the price of eternal damnation. Why would evil spirits bite the hands that feed them?

No, it makes no sense. Not that I expected it to.

Trolls, that's who! (And the board abounds with them right now.)

And to them and Rev. Campbell, this is for you.

4. UnRec
Sometimes, I unrec a post because I do not agree with the topic...not the poster themselves.

Sometimes, just to piss off the Unrec whiners. This was one of those times...

6. That just proves that the average Evangelical minister
is ignorant as a bag of bricks.

It's a personal opinion that, before a person becomes a minister/priest/imam/rabbi/person of God, a thorough course in comparitive regligion should be force fed.

8. Disgusting
Ironically, people practicing Vodou would likely have far more compassion for Christians in a crisis, then this jerkwad had for the mostly Christian people of Haiti.

9. "...evil spirits had caused the quake." Huh?
Which evil spirits? His or theirs? And isn't Campbell's asinine statement validating voodoo?

You know, I once had an imaginary friend, but I didn't try to kill people who didn't believe in him.
