Anyone else liking the lack of exit polling? Rational discourse today instead of emotional ups and
downs, as frequently as not unfounded. Who is served by exit polling except the media?

1. I was just looking for exit poll results and found nothing.
I was hoping to find something here at DU, but nada. Seems odd.

2. In most situations, exit polling is accurate.
Then, of course, there are the times that it is not. In another country, where exit polling disagrees with the election, exit polling is an indication of massive fraud. In the U.S., when exit polling disagrees with the election outcome, the exit polls are wrong.

Interesting, no?

4. they are not doing exit polls anymore and this is not good
Why are we just to trust them? They audit machines in Las Vegas for gambling...or they would be hacked you see...so they watch all day. They are not doing this for voting machines and the exit polling tell syou how the people are swaying...one wway or another. You see without exit polls, we rely on the media to tell us who is ahead? Why not check? Look...we are not having real elections anymore. The media tells us who is leading...and quietly they don't check anymore, via exit polls, etc. Then what they say fits what the phony voting machines tally, all owned by the corporations. Get it?

6. I think exit polling has an advantage...
They told me Pres. Obama was going to win Ohio and Virginia before he actually did win it.

You can't look at the exact numbers, though, and rather the demographic polls released an hour or so before the polls close. They're generally right on the money and probably could have given us an idea of what to expect tonight.

Now we'll have to wait as the numbers come in.

8. Yes
It's a state and a relatively small state, so exit polling would just get people too excited one way or the other and bounce back and forth all night. Good only for liquor sales.
