Memo to the DLC: If voters want neocon policy they'll vote for Republicans.
DLC policy domination of the Obama administration and the US House and Senate are making the Democratic Party unelectable.

If voters want conservative policies they'll vote Rethug.

1. So they voted for a Republican -
I guess that means they want conservative policies, even Massachusetts.

That's what you're saying.

It couldn't possibly be that Democrats' message is all fucked up.

2. No I think the OP is paraphrasing the Truman quote
about "If you give the voters a choice between a Republican and a Democrat who acts like a Republican, they'll pick the real Republican everytime."

Certainly the DLC thinks and acts like Republicans and they have done a lot to help the Democrats lose the momentum they had a year ago, but it sounds like the biggest problem here is that Coakley ran a bad campaign.

3. Yup, Truman's quote nailed it.. Exactly the point of my OP.
What happened in Mass. will probably happen nationwide in November's general election, if things don't change.

Meaning DLC policy.

If elected Dems actually see Mass. for what it is and change direction then I'll see it as a good thing. I'm not holding my breath for that change though. The DLC never learns. Their corporate overlords won't allow them to change.

I'm dropping my party affiliation and going independent from here on out. No more blind loyalty to a party that stabs the working person and the poor in the back, daily.

Sorry, I just felt like I had to vent.

Peace.
