1. Ensign is not up for re-election this year
Reid is... and if things continue in this direction Reid will lose too.

4. if you are insinuating that Ensign will resign or be forced out
then you aren't very familiar with the history of these matters. For Christ's sake, Larry Craig is still holding onto his Senate seat.

Bill Clinton ended the tradition of throwing out politicians over their love affairs with staff; William Jefferson showed that you can get caught red-handed and still hold on for years.

Ensign will tough it out and be holding onto his seat longer than Reid will, I'd put money on it.

6. That's why I used the word "maybe" it's a long shot but sometimes they go to jail and resign.
Depends on what they find..

9. These people have no shame whatsoever
If they are not physically pulled out of that seat they don't give it up. It is too much power, and the kind of person who attains a Senate seat in modern America is a power-hungry conscience-less cretin.

I have long held the Senate to be the single most corrupt institution in the country. More scandal per capita than anywhere else!

3. If a teabagger gets elected to the senate in MA,
I doubt a Democrat could be elected dog-catcher in NV.

Ensign would probably end up being replaced by someone even worse, assuming that's possible.

5. Are you kidding?
The assholes in that state could care less, they just want Reid out.

7. Get Real
If we can't win in Mass, I don't think we can win anywhere this year

8. As long as Jim Gibbons is governor,
a wingnut would be appointed in Ensign's seat.
