Look for Senate Dems to offer Snowe or Collins whatever amendment they want... |
|
..in order for a cloture vote on the health care bill.
The question is... will either of them accept the bribe?

8. I just wrote to my "Representive" (sic) and informed him that |

although he _may_ vote against the Senate bill (as it is) and it none the less gets sent to and signed by RhamaObama - with nothing at all from even the weak assed house bill, I will make every effort to ensure he is PRIMARIED OUT and NEVER returns to DC.
ANY INCUMBANT who is a part of this atrocity (if the house votes to send the Senate BIll directly to RhamaObama as is) SHOULD BE PRIMARIED - EVEN IF THEY VOTE NO.
If this abortion of a BILL passes, VERY SINGLE CONGRESS CRITTER SHOULD BE PRIMARIED AND SENT PACKING - ESPECIALLY THE SO CALLED "PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS"

do you even recognize how dumb what you wrote actually is? You want to primary those who voted no just because the bill passed despite their vote? So you would, presumedly, vote in a primary for someone who favors the bill against someone who doesn't favor the bill all to prevent the bill from passing, and you wonder why Congress doesn't do what you want.

It's no more of a fairytale than that the Democrats will enact the health care reform the American people need.

After all, Snowe's biggest problem is that HCR is moving too fast for her or something like that. :eyes: Has Collins ever been considered to be close to helping on this??? Oh, and if I may send a quick shout out to our Senator Webb: FU!!!!!

11. Basically said that no votes should be held on HCR until Brown is seated. |
|
There's an OP on this somewhere here on DU about it. So, we can pretty much expect that either HCR is going to be substantially delayed (and/or watered down further to attempt to court Snowe or Collins) or the House is going to have to approve the Senate HCR bill as is (not really such a huge deal to me but I was hoping for some fine-tuning). I swear, the way that some of our own so-called Dems (or certain Dem-leaning independents) fight our own side they might as well be Republicans. :banghead: I don't demand that our party march in lockstep but it seems like some discretion would be in order after such a stinging (but perhaps inevitable) loss tonight.

4. Waste of time. Snowe said before she won't vote for it no matter what. |
|
Even if they put EVERYTHING she wants in the bill, she still won't vote for it.

7. Webb - no more votes until Brown seated |

Sounds like both senate and house dems are running for the hills tonite. By Thursday, it will be catastrophic. Health care is dead, dead dead !!!!! Cap/Trade is Dead Dead Dead.
This is not about one senate race in Mass. It is a wake up call to our party.
Obama talks a good game, but provide no leadership. And lets Pelosi and Reid drag him down a dead end path. I thought Bush was weak, but Obama is starting to make him look like a genius.
How the F---- could this happen"?

12. It doesn't matter if the House passes the Senate bill as is. |
|
They can still do that after Brown is seated, if I'm not mistaken.
