Tonight's Election Means Nothing |
|
When you realize that we never had 60 seats without counting Joe Libermann.....you realize that nothing has changed. Really doesn't matter who is to blame for the loss. IF Harry Reid doesn't get some balls and stop playing by different rules than the Republicans do....Obama and the entire party will be sunk during the next 2 election cycles!
THEY WERE ELECTED TO CHANGE THINGS!! Not put a BLUE ribbon on the shoulders of the same old Republican ideas and call it a victory!

A state that has the nearest thing to "socialized medicine" in the US, just put a Cosmo centerfold into the senate. Exactly what does that mean? IF we had a REAL 60 vote count before this....it would be something pretty serious. but to go from a 19 vote margin to an 18 vote margin which should be a 17 vote margin if they dump Libermann's ass....?
If we don't get some leadership with BALLS in the Senate.....we could have all 100 seats and it wouldnt matter!

Scott Brown is going to have to run for reelection when Obama is running for reelection.
Now we have a chance to pick a better Democratic candidate for the 2012 election.

6. It's not that Dems don't have balls |
|
I am so tired of this one.
It's that Dems are trying to accomplish a positive thing.
Repukes want less government. Therefore passing nothing but tax cuts makes them happy.
Dems generally want to pass a substantive thing, so they need the votes for cloture so they can vote to pass it.
Repukes don't have to worry about that. Nothing has to pass, they want nothing more.
then 911 gave them some special circumstances to exploit. They had the entire nation in terror of terra.

7. Agree with the 1st 2 sentences |

I'm not into predicting or threatening doom, but the Dems really do need to use what they got to it's maximum potential. This filibuster shit has to stop.

9. I'm tired of the dems playing nice |
|
I can just hear the smug comments that Boner and the rest of the repukes will have tomorrow, Obama came into this presidency thinking he could have a partisian Congress and Senate, the Bush Adm. never had one. Teh democrats need to learn something after tonight, they need to play dirty. Does this mean that healthcare is out? I wished they would run this thing through somehow. The Repukes just paid $6 million dollars for a lap dog, and I bet his past is a little shady after all he once had a staple in his stomach posing nude, I wonder how many skeletons will fall out of his closet?
