1. Massachusetts has a soft spot for pretty faces |
Right at the crown.
Please, don't stick your finger into the soft spot.

2. I read that Brown put 200,000 miles |
on his pickup truck, driving around Massachusetts shaking hands and asking people to vote for him. Mz. Coakley kicked off her campaign with a Caribbean vacation. Coakley held maybe 20 public forums, Brown did 66. Republicans around the country poured $6 millions into Brown's campaign, while the DSCC did next to nothing. I think I'm detecting a pattern here. It's like Woody Allen said, 90 per cent of life is showing up.

3. People everywhere do that all the time! The "have a beer with" |
line is one way to put it, but people tend to vote for someone they feel good about, someone that make them smile, someone they like personally. Americans have voted that way for YEARS! This may not apply to people here on DU, but try asking a lot of people you don't necessarily know WHY they voted for Obama? MOST will tell you "I LIKE HIM!" Even the media plays this up all the time! When the talking heads state poll; #'s, you hear, how you rate the prez. different plans...but you always hear that one question. "How do you rate the Prez. personally?" Obama's ratings on that are always quite high. People STILL LIKE HIM!
