We're Finished............... |
|
Yeah, I said it. The Democratic party is finished. This race is a bell-weather sign of the upcoming 2010 Congressional Elections and really, it is not President Obama's fault. Well, let me change that. He did what we as African-Americans do when we get a position of power. Try and please all the people, by trying to be nice. He should have said screw that, and did exactly what he campaigned for....and the people that would not like him because of it, be DAMNED.
He should have acted like as of he had the power that he had when on January 20, 2009, President Obama had a Supermajority. He should have demanded what he wanted, anyone that did not "ride along" with his agenda should have been threated in the Democratic party with no funding for Congressional races in 2010 and if any Republicans and some Democrats did not like him because of it....oh hell well.
He should have realized that the only reason he was elected is that the country is so messed up....many of the "people" thought "let a "Black" man deal with it". They knew full well that he was not going to be able to fix this mess in one year. Regardless, the justification of those "folks" could be that we gave them an opportunity and "they" BLEW IT.
Well, I will still support the President as I always have....but I will feel so sorry for him the next three years because the mess is just beginning. Look for more nay-sayers, teabaggers, more Democrats siding with Republicans over the President and no agenda passed. Sad but true, the poor will be poorer, the depression will continue, the middle class will become the new poor and the rich.....well, they will stay rich.
It's just my opinion..............

2. Unless every Democratic candidate screws up like Coakley, then no, this isn't a sign |
|
Seats will be lost, but the majority will stay intact.

4. Sleep it off, and get back to work tomorrow. |
|
We lost ONE race. There's a big mid-term election coming up, and we still have to organize all those people who were on fire for Obama, but kicked back after his inauguration.
They ... they ... they ... they ...
No, it isn't "they", it's WE.
WE, as in YES WE CAN.

and that's some really fucked up logic there. It's almost as if your sole purpose here is to demoralize.
But no way is that it, right?

7. The Truth Hurts....I know........ |
|
Believe me, it hurts me. I actually wanted to believe that certain people supported President Obama and would allow him the opportunity to fix the MESS that George Bush left him. I actually thought that race relations would improve in this country. I actually thought that Democrats would stand behind this President in lock step and support him like they did on November 7, 2008. Well, I have gotten a HUGE wake up call the last couple of months.....really since four months after President Obama was elected.
Things will not change, race relations will not improve, President Obama will not have the opportunity to get his agenda passed (which is TRULY SAD), the poor will stay poor, people will continue to die without health care, pre-existing conditions will continue, the climate will continue to get worst....I could go on but like I said...we're finished.

12. We are I agree, all we can do is make the change at state level, the big picture is grim.... |

It's all about changing hearts and minds for the long haul. So many people don't know what's really going on and now all there is, is a resistance movement that maybe one day might overcome. For some reason a lousy health care bill seemed to be the worst of peoples problems, after tonight we ain't seen nothing yet. Scary thought. Pres. Obama will take so much heat now it's more difficult, I hope he digs deep because only if he get real strong we might just make it through this.
