Tell Congress: Don't learn the wrong lesson from losing Kennedy's seat!

Democratic politicians are on the verge of learning the exact wrong lesson from tonight's election. Can you sign this emergency petition telling them to be stronger -- not weaker -- in 2010?

"The loss of Ted Kennedy's seat -- due to a lack of enthusiasm among Democrats and Independents -- sends a clear message to Congress. The Senate health care bill is not the change we were promised in 2008, and it must be improved. The Senate must use 'reconciliation' to pass a better bill with a strong public option."

This is already a sad time for those of us who loved Ted Kennedy. But to make it even worse, conservative Democrats are claiming that the loss happened because Congress was "too far to the left."

But poll after poll shows voters want Democrats to fight harder for change.

1. I thought this victory would prevent reconciliation? Elucidate, please? NT

2. Sometimes I think they have a hearing problem up on The Hill.

It took me a while to decipher. Most Republicans in Congress
are very well grounded in their understanding of the Parties.
Republicans demand that their members know the ins and outs
of Conservatism. Part of their "training" as candidates.

So I would be pulling my hair out trying to determine how
they could say Obama was going left. That Senate Bill was
practically written by Olympia Snowe and Baucus spent
months with Republicans trying to make the darn thing
amenable. Therefore the Senate Bill (which would be the
one passed in the final form) is a bill from the right of
political spectrum. It is Pro-Business while anything
that would have made even a little left of center was
thrown out: Single Payer=Center Left Public Option= a little
left of Center. Medicare for all-Center Left. See what
I mean. It more like a Center Right Bill.

So what are they talking about. Any "universal" plan is
Left in the GOP World. That is why--Government Run Health Care"
is their Mantra. While many of GOP constituents want and
depend on some government H. Care, these same people can
be frightened of "Government run health care". Many are
suspicious of government. That is, they are manipulated.
Republican Congress do not want Health care period so
they frighten people of government control and they(Congress) end up
getting what they want.

I say Dems are hard of hearing, becuase they never seem
to get one thing: if they do not fight back and carefully
explain to the American People exactly what they are doing
and why the people believe this is government run health care
and they should fear. The government can learn too much
about them and get them in trouble. If Democrats spent
time with the people and not depend so much on polls they
would learn a lot. Get on Televsion, explain your actions
and why. When people are included they will follow usually.
