Tea Party spokesman on Cspan.
"We are going to organize and have landslide victory for conservatives in 2010"

And you know what....we are going to let them.
Not that we are not going to push for our own special interest, we will but it will be fragmented and specific, and while we are fighting for some single interest the tea baggers will focus on destroying this administration....and we will let them.

Our liberal organizations will use the fear of the tea baggers to raise money...they will tell us that they need it to compete, and they will also tell us that we need to move to the right and have bipartisanship with the GOP and we will let them do that too.

Where are our real leaders....out sucking up to the powers that be because it is financially wise thing to do?

Perhaps we should organize and have protest and come with guns and be just as vocal and obnoxious as they are.
And we should take note that among the tea baggers there are atheist and fundies standing side by side and in aggreement....and it is all for one and one for all, where as the left can be divided easily by their single issue concerns. And at every opportunity the right exploit them with a lot of help from the media.

Too bad that our liberal organizations cannot stop there single concerns for just a while and join together long enough to change the political landscape....but then what do I know.

The teabaggers won.

2. And this is the results.
We should learn from our mistakes but we didn't.
The Dem's are playing good cop to the tea baggers bad cop and it pays in terms of fund raising.

5. Perhaps they just want us to believe they are gutless.
So the RW agenda has an easy path to completion.
And then they can appeal for more money to fight against the bad cop.

3. No, our leaders are sucking from the corporate tit and want to call it progressive
Our Dem leaders want to have their cake and eat it too, but in reality they can't do that. They can't serve 2 masters -- corporations and the People. They need to choose and they have implicitly chosen corporations, which makes them Republican-lite.

6. It is not so much about our politicians as our liberal organizations.
They cannot or will not come together to do what the tea baggers do, which is to intimidate and control the agenda.

7. I strongly disagree
Liberal groups have come together. They united against the war when Bush was in office and for health care under Obama.

The problem is our media is controlled by right wingers. So our liberal stories never get told. But get a dozen teabaggers out on a street corner and every reporter within a hundred miles is covering their rally.

8. Sory but those are excuses.
If the media will not come to you, you go to the media.....where the tea baggers are there will be the media and we should be there too.

11. I don't think you have tried this
We HAVE gone to the media. Over and over and over again. They aren't interested in liberal causes.

13. I have never seen a counter protest against the tea baggers.
Unless it was the Billionaires for bush.
But nothing organized except by one small group.
when they marched on DC we did nothing, except sit and watch them soak up the media attention and point out how they inflated the numbers.
That don't cut it because you know the media will not cover what we do....
But if there is a tea bag protest and right across the street from is a crowd twice as large, and perhaps armed and loud they could not ignore it and the impression on the public would be much different.

And it is unfathomable to me that we pretend that they are not a threat when they clearly are.

19. We counter protested against them here all spring and summer
And it was incredibly difficult to motivate folks to come and outnumber them. Most people don't want to stand in the street and argue with teabaggers. So we organized health care rallies and the teabaggers came and counter protested against US. And the media came and interviewed THEM. The report came off like we weren't there at all. And it was OUR protest; we had sent out the press release to announce the rally.

You bet they are a threat. They won an election in Mass yesterday. Today they are celebrating.

22. Yes it is a shame that people don't take them seriously
But the difference is that they are organized and pumped up with fear and prejudice and have money behind them
Our liberal organizations are not interested in countering them and so they ignore them and let them use the media for there own purposes.
I think the left needs some new leadership.

9. Tea baggers. Call them tea baggers
They hate that.

They changed our name from the Democratic Party to the Democrat Party.

In the beginning of this bull shit "movement" they refereed to themselves as "tea bagging" the congress by mailing tea bags to their elected officials. We don't have to change their name, just call them what they wanted from the start.

Tea Baggers

17. I find it amusing that gay people would vote republican
Because of the term of teabagging...
If we are that shallow then we are doomed and might as well give it up.

Rachel uses it on her show.

Your schtick won't fly here. For one thing, this is a board for DEMOCRATS, not wanna be Democratic Advisors.

12. These tea-baggers are easier to disassemble than the think they are...
They've been made to endure no resistance thus far, not really. They are actually nervous, isolated, hyperactive people whose heart rates are already thumping from having won, at least in their minds; so much with so little. It is time they start paying the piper. Having been given the option to do so, I say they will dissolve like the Alka Seltzer *they will need* from the exchange alone

14. Yes, why don't we organize and protest as well? Sans the guns, for me but whatever.

But I completely disagree about the atheist and fundies side-by-side thing. Most teabaggers are not welcoming to atheists, or anyone who isn't like them.

But instead of conflicting with them they urge them on because it is their base.
Something that we are to principled to do.
