9. He knows his voters
There are an awful lot of people in MA (like my relatives) that think owning a truck makes them a rugged individualist. And there are more SUV's per capita in eastern MA than in East Jockstrap, VT.

Martha Coakley might have been a good Senator - but she is not a good campaigner, at least with the advice she got in this round.
The morning radio crew over the border in NH said "She doesn't seem to like talking to people"
