Solar-powered Bibles and other distractors... |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-20-10 10:04 AM by PCIntern
Hmmm....
I was sitting around the other day and was wondering, what would happen if a catastrophe occurred which completely decimated a society. How much idiocy would I have to endure?
1. Those who somehow survived would be 'blessed by God'. Of course, those who died would be 'in a better place' since this was obviiously part of 'God's plan'. So God's covered every which way...Good for Him/Her. This avenue of logic took about 6 minutes to appear...
2. I was waiting for the Fundies to show up...Not disappointed for long and it seems that since Bibles are in short-supply in this world, what invention could be bring to those who are dying of starvation, thirst, and meandering gangs? I've got it! Solar-powered Bibles will solve the problem...since this whole generation of iPod users would rather have a broadcast Bible than a book of Scripture. when God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses, he did so via a microwave broadcast which caused a laser to carve them on the rock. why load planes with extra glucose or water, or food, when you can bring technology to those who have but a few breaths left.
3. Dumbest question of the week: ] Reporter to freed victim; How do you feel now that you're out form under tons of concrete?
Answer: How do you think...?

1. Be funny if the guy had said either... |

1) Actually, I kind of miss it. After a few days, it started to feel like home. I think, when all this is over, I'm going to buy myself a pile of concrete and take up permanent residence there.
or
2) Why don't you crawl in there for a couple days, and let me know?

|
But . . . solar-powered bibles? Is this a joke?
