Let's do something different at DU - let's not play the blame game
First, we never had '60' in the senate. That 60 meant compromising with Joe Lieberman, who I have never EVER trusted the moment he was a spoiled sport and ran as an indepenant (and even before them I had my doubts).

Scott Brown should enjoy the perks of being a senator for 4 years. Because when 2012 rolls around Massachusetts is going to realize they have a nutjob as their senator and he'll be tossed to the streets on his ass. Think about it, Mass elected Mitt Rommey and even Mitt was smart enough to realize that he got lucky once but it would not happen a 2nd time in Massachusetts.

HCR will get finished. So if anything, Scott Brown will look really stupid with his "I'm the 41st vote to stop health care". Scott, reconcilliation will happen and we need about 10 more of you to make it go away. The 2 most powerful people in the senate will be Snowe & Collins from Maine - because we do have a shot at getting them to cross the line, which means Republicans better take good care of them!.

Time to move forward and upwards!

7. It's a bit late isn't it? People were blaming "the left" before the ballots were even cast.
I don't see that changing anytime soon.
