So we have no hope of every getting a good health care system.
Every other developed nation will continue to spend far less than we do as a percentage of their GDP, and we'll continue to spend far more. They'll continue to have higher life expectancies and lower infant mortality rates. We'll continue to poor money into a pit to achieve terrible results. They'll continue to have universal coverage, and here more and more people will continue to lose coverage. And it looks pretty fucking hopeless.

This is what it has boiled down to. I'm so fucking disappointed in Obama and the Democrats. This is what I volunteered for in 2008? Are they fucking serious? Fuck them.

1. Looks that way.
Tip for everyone next election: DON'T LISTEN TO THEM SPEAK!

Yup. Dead serious.

How many people backed Obama in the primaries because he's a good speaker (which he certainly is).

A candidate without a track record should not be considered.

A candidate with a bad track record should not be considered.

It's what they DO that we all have to live with.

READ their remarks.

READ what they've done in the past.

Don't listen to them speak.

2. Not necessarily. A skeleton bill wouldn't prevent states from creating their own single payer
systems. (silver lining)
