Republican pinheads are ungrateful bastards.
How soon they forget. One year ago today, we did not know if our economy or our country was going to survive. We put all our hopes on the shoulders of the new President. He made the decision that it would be best for everyone if we did not let the big banks go under. In hindsight, it looks like the worst decision ever made.

Instead of vilifying and tearing down the new President, they should be down on their knees thanking him for saving capitalism, the stock market, and their ability to continue to rip people off to their own greedy ends.

But, they didn't thank FDR either. Then, we were on the verge of throwing out the entire system. The union movement was strong. As was the communist movement in this country. But FDR created the New Deal programs and that most likely saved the capitalist system at that time.

In September, 2008, the capitalists were scared to death. Alan Greenspan said it was the worst economy in 100 years. The credit markets had frozen. There were fears that employers would not be able to get the money to pay their employees. Common people were losing everything in their savings and 401K's. Even George W Bush came out to tell the American people that if they did not get $700 billion dollars immediately, the entire economic system could collapse. That is what Barack Obama walked into on January 20th, 2009.

Now that their heads are above water and they can take a deep breath once again, they seem to have forgotten those times. Barack Obama is a socialist. He is the "anti-Christ". He is everything evil about government. He needs to get out of the way and let Big Business and the Republicans figure out what is best for this country.

They are ungrateful bastards. He saved their asses. He saved the capitalist system. He saved their money. They should be thanking him instead of trying to crucify him. They do not deserve to be called Americans.

1. I think "ungrateful"
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 10:16 AM by PATRICK
is almost a comic understatement of their moral interpretation of the world.

On edit. And an unintended defamation of bastards.

3. Good for you.
Kinder gentler revolutionaries. We really can't let the worst people have the most and most illegal power
over all human destiny. But we do.
