Suggestion- Start Getting Ready To Support Card Check Legislation Now.
If DU'ers really feel concerned about unchecked corporate spending during elections, the only pro-active way to counter that is supporting unions and efforts to unionize.

Card Check Legislation is on the slate.

Get ready NOW to fight for it.

In other words, be Pro-Active.

Let's not be in the position where a year from now, DU'ers will be posting about how this legislation failed.

2. So you want us to fight for the unions
when they abandoned us in the HRC fight and cut their own deal leaving us out to dry?

6. Yes, I do.
Because despite their flaws, we need bigger, better organized labor. Not less, weaker, organized labor.

Yes there are problems, so get INVOLVED in Unions and make your voice heard. It is easy to prove that conditions were better for workers when Labor was stronger, even with all the political BS

3. I have nothing at all against unions, and do support them, but feel that
any effort by We The Actual Human Beings no longer counts.

4. Shouldn't Unions now have "Personhood" also?

5. Dude, Card Check is dead.
The Employee Free Choice Act was quietly buried last spring.

What is being talking about now does not include the key issue of card-check, which was a non-starter then - especially when the white house refused to actively fight for it (or EFCA in any form for that matter) and is a non-starter now.
