Today's ruling makes even a guy like Alan Grayson vulnerable to corporations with their billions.
Alan is a self made multi-millionaire worth around $31 million last time I heard and he is about the 10th richest person serving in Congress (maybe ninth after Ted Kennedy's passing) yet even HE will now be vulnerable to corporations and their billions of dollars.

If even a guy like Alan can now be outspent by the likes of Goldman Sachs or General Electric or Lockheed Martin, what chance does any Congressman or Senator have to say "no" to the corporations? If Joe Biden were still in the Senate, what chance would HE have to say no. He was MAYBE worth a million dollars counting his wife and his own assets including their house and probably not even that much.

1. People need to quit falling for slick, monied campaigns.
That's the only way it's going to end. Until we wise up - no matter what the rules are - we're going to get the elected officials we deserve.

2. The left prospered back during the early 20th century before campaign finance reform was in place
We can do it again.

10. Actually NOT and certainly NOT on the radio..
you apparently know nothing of history in general or the history of radio (and NO there wasn't commercial TV in the 1930's).

3. well, in my state we hate big spenders so I comfort myself with that
but yeah, in most places its gonna be awful. Pat Leahy isn't worth anymore than Biden, nor is Sanders. I'm not worried about them or Peter who's also not wealthy.

4. It pretty much renders Grayson to the status of "poor"
Not as poor as those of us who could never dream of running for office in our own country. But, compared to his new opponents, he is poor.

7. Whoever has the most money wins. Whatever they want. USA, USA, rah, rah, rah.
Last hurrah, of our wonderful, rabble rousing country? Don`t think so, but will take an enormous amount of rabble rousing to be heard anymore.

9. Have any of you noticed
that...during this administration, there have been numerous rulings to benefit corporations. = Things have been done to benefit big business that the republicans have been trying to put thru for years.
