Ohio police: Driver has corpse in back seat
Ohio police: Driver has corpse in back seat
Thursday, January 21, 2010 1:18 PM

PARMA, Ohio (AP) - Ohio police found the corpse of a missing woman in the back seat of a car after stopping a motorist believed to share her apartment to ask him where she might be.

Police in Parma, Cleveland's biggest suburb, say the 60-year-old driver was arrested Wednesday in Lakewood and remains in jail. Detective Marty Compton said Thursday no charges had been filed.

Police were alerted to watch for the man after 60-year-old Elaine Wynn, also known as Elaine Wynn-Pickett, was reported missing Tuesday by a relative who hadn't seen her since before Christmas.

The coroner says an autopsy Wednesday shows the woman died from stab wounds. Further tests were ordered to determine when she died.
