Poll question: Agree or disagree?
"Under capitalism the exploited masses do not, nor can they ever, really participate in governing the country, if for no other reason than that, even under the most democratic regime, under conditions of capitalism, governments are not set up by the people but by the Rothschilds and Stinneses, the Rockefellers and Morgans. Democracy under capitalism is capitalist democracy, the democracy of the exploiting minority, based on the restriction of the rights of the exploited majority and directed against this majority."

4. sure in Lazes-fair capitalism
In a properly regulated (economically) society, theortically should benefit democracy. But again, the operative word would be "properly" regulated. It seems we can't 'properly' do anything.

6. huh? what do the Rothschilds have to do with anything here?
What do the Stinneses have to do with it? As for the Rockefellers, they're not really the problem. Neither are the Morgans.

Think the Walton family.

8. I'm thinking it's more like the Bushs and Cheneys and Murdocks...
Anyone currently with money who exhibits signs of severe greed... but that's redundant, it seems.

10. Disagee

Agreeing with this kind of thinking is a weakness of some in the Democratic party.

The power is in the people. They just don't always realize it.

You can see this on some college campuses where the local politicians treat the students poorly, then one day the students fight back and elect a student to be mayor.

Such as:

College Student, 19, Elected Mayor of Oklahoma City of 38,000
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,355537,00.html

OSU student elected Stillwater mayor
http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?subjectid=16&articleid=20090408_12_0_AnOkla97654

Bloomsburg student elected Mayor
http://www.buvoice.com/2.3621/bloomsburg-student-elected-mayor-1.415904

So many people do not realize the power they have.

That is the big trick, the big con, convincing the masses they are powerless.

Capitalism is not evil, no more than fire is evil. Both need to be harnessed to produce beneficial results, and neither should be left unattended.
