I am curious what their motives, OTHER than being aliens, were. fame? Fortune? Jobs and perks for their relatives? I can't figure this one out. And I wonder, watching how the Pukes have played us time after time year after year, if this wasn't planned years ago and only now the puzzle pieces have revealed themselves.

I am POSITIVE there was something to influence their decision, and it wasn't to benefit the common man.

1. Federalist Society
the adoration of their friends and collegues, jobs for children and spouses, an entrenched role in the ruling elite, choice picnic tables at Bohemian Grove, etc. etc.

5. I think they stepped on their own dicks. I really believe
that those five men made their decision thinking they were shutting down the danger that is Barrack Obama and what he represents. I think they overstepped it, that it will be a rally point for democrats and that it will eventually be undone over time.

And when that happens, these five men will have their precious reputations tarnished in a manner that will bring shame and infamy upon them and their families.

7. Certain people get satisfaction from the triumph of evil, even though they themselves get nothing

from it - nothing in the way of material gain.

People who are drawn to authoritarian political movements and parties see hierarchy as the natural order and enjoy watching the weak get the bootheel ground in their faces. It validates their world view. And because it's happening to you, not them, they can then enjoy their life with an affirmed intensity.

As fucked up as that sounds I'm convinced it's behind much of our political life. All human societies going back in history for thousands of years have been based on oppressive cruelty. Certainly it's true of all those societies that became large and complex and "left their mark on history" - that is to say made contributions that were useful to later civilizations likewise built on oppression. The appetite and approval for that enforced hierarchy and cruelty doesn't disappear from the human soul or gene pool just because some wealthy gentlemen of the 18th century at one point found it politically useful to declare "All men are created equal".
