1. The 5 were the usual suspects
Edited on Fri Jan-22-10 12:31 AM by kenny blankenship
Scalia Alito Roberts Thomas and Kennedy for corporate fascism.
Which leaves Breyer, Ginsberg, Stevens, and Sotomayor for democracy.

3. Three guesses and the first two don't count.
Seriously, this vote was extremely predictable. Which justices are liberal and take the Constitution seriously, and which justices are right-wing assclowns?

10. I know -SO-predictable, I could name them from memory
Republican nominated "justices" vs Democratic ones, with the exception of Stevens who was nominated by Gerald Ford but who is now the most liberal. (thanks a lot, Clinton)

4. Vote roll call....
Supreme Court Judges who voted to give free hand to big corporation to purchase
the next elections, since they can't do anymore Bush vs. Gores are:

Justice Alito (nominated by Bush)
Justice Roberts (nominated by Bush)
Justice Thomas (nominated by Bush)
Justice Scalia (nominated by Reagan)
Justice Kennedy (nominated by Reagan)

Supreme Court Justices who voted AGAINST giving free hand to big corporation to purchase
the next elections:

Justice Sotomayor (nominated by Obama)
Justice Ginsburg (nominated by Clinton)
Justice Breyer (nominated by Clinton)
Justine Stevens (nominated by Ford before partisanship started running amok)

Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy, Alito, Roberts vs. Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Stevens, Breyer.

I found you a link but you don't even need an article to figure out how the current SCOTUS will vote on issues like this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20100121/ts_csm/275190_1

9. I have tried so many times before to understand their position
I try, I really do try, to understand the perspectives of those I disagree with, because I know that oftentimes, there are reasonable explanations.

But I just cannot understand what these 5 traitors think. The only conclusion I can come to is that they are an alien life form of some kind, or their brains have been invaded by another life form (microbial even; doesn't have to be alien).

There's nothing more frustrating than trying but not being able to see the other perspective.

That said, does anyone here understand what they were thinking? I mean, aside from the obvious (greed).

15. The judicial system has been cheapened to where these momentous
decisions are made on a purely idealogical partisan political basis. Later on when some of these hacks are dead they'll
probably get a chance to overturn it.

16. And don't forget Thomas doesn't think for himself, rarely
utters a word on the bench. He votes like his puppet master Alito tells him how to vote.

Sotomoyer has asked more questions in her short time on the bench than he has his entire carear on the Supreme Court. He has done exactly what daddy * wanted him to....
