floods money into our elections, this should be immediate grounds for a lawsuit. How on earth can that be remotely close to what is constitutional?

On Edit: Our one way to fight back might be to set up watchdog groups to check every corporation's ownerships and bog down the courts with lawsuits.

You're correct, it's inevitable.

2. You're right,
and this should be one of our main talking points. "Do you really want foreign owned or influenced corporations owning your representatives?>

3. Not to mention, how the hell do you keep track off all these companies and who is running them

and what countries they are from? What this may create is watchdog groups checking through every corporation to see who owns them and ties to other countries. The courts could get bogged down in lawsuits. Might be our only way to fight back.

4. Damn right it's unconstitutional!
We should really take this up with the Supreme Co...oh, yeah...right:eyes: Well, then we all must demand that Congress pass...oh...damn. Well, we certainly are up shit creek without a paddle.

10. Any publically traded company has some foreign ownership.
I guarantee you you that at least one non-citizen will own at least one share of any company on the stock exchanges.

And there's the wedge - these companies are not 100% American-owned and should not be allowed to influence elections.

11. I'm actually going to enjoy watching
the teabaggers riot when it happens.
Sure they're authoritarian wankers, but they're xenophobes too. All you need is to panic a few of the leaders and the rest of the herd will stampede all over the place bleating. It'll be doubly amusing if the money came from a Communist or predominately Islamic country.

13. Ha. Spreading Democracy isn't a oneway street. Now it's America's turn to receive foreign help
electing the appropriate government.
What's to whine about that?

Really, how did America manage so long to only let US money buy elections abroad? And few people cared about that. It was generally widely cheered.
