Thanks for giving us Justice Roberts |
|
Dear Senator Patti Murray, just a quick note to say thanks for voting to confirm John Roberts. I am glad you saw thru his lies when he said he would not overturn previous Court decisions and that he would support the Constitution. He just said that to fool the nitwits in the Senate.
But you weren’t fooled. After all participatory Democracy is so clumsy. Corporatism is so much more efficient. I am glad you could see that and voted for Roberts.
Thanks again, and I see you are up for reelection this year. Maybe by November we wont have to do that silly voting anymore. Just ask CorpAmerica who our new Senator is.

Once you get there, do absolutely nothing of any worth? Seems pointless unless they're just in it for the money or power.

18. Well here was my email to the White House. |
|
This message is concerning the Supreme Court ruling about Corporate and Union "free speech".
I am highly dubious of such a ruling. The Orwellian logic that it takes to claim that artificial entities (any human made bureaucratic organization) has natural given rights under our constitution, is astounding. Placing bureaucracies on the same civic plane as an individual citizen, subordinates the liberty of the citizen and makes us all subject to their will (as their employees, customers, and now political constituents).
But that is not where the trouble ends. In an age of expanding globalization, coupled with increasing power of multinational firms and an increased international integration of commerce, I believe that the impact that this ruling has on foreign influence on our government should be reviewed vigorously. Specifically, should any firm with holdings outside the United States be afforded a rightful role in our electoral politics? I think they should be barred from the process completely. (I think all firms should be, frankly, but if I must settle for a mushy policy on this issue, that's about the only compromise worthy of our constitution). The interlocking of foreign nationals in these firms combined with the fact that large shares are held by foreign state run capital investment arms should disqualify them from the right to influence the electoral and policy-making process in this country.
As a side note, I wonder if the President has any concerns that Justices Alito and Roberts perjured themselves in their confirmation hearing with regard to stare decisis. It is clear from their testimony in confirmation and from rulings such as this that they lied brazenly to congress and never intended to follow established law. They are a menace and clearly a danger to our national sovereignty and thus should be impeached.

As it stands now, you might want to ask the CEO of Coca-Cola if we should worry about it or not.
Or maybe Banana Republic.

They should have filibustered anyone as obviously a political operative as Roberts is. He's not a judge, he's a political tool of the Republican Party. At the least, they should have held out for someone 10-20 years older.

He doesn't play games- he believes the sitting President has a right to appoint Supreme Court justices. Feingold thought Roberts was qualified, though conservative.
Should we throw Feingold under the bus too?

Have you notice that the disrupters in here only ask questions? And dont provide their ideas?
Here's my idea. Real Democrats should have fought tooth and nail to stop Roberts a know fascist. But they rolled over like always and now we have fascism. But you seem ok with that. Hmmmm

Alioto's is a seafood restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. I think it's overrated too, but still not a democracy killer like Alito, Roberts, A Kennedy, Thomas, and Scalia.

with the massive lies/propaganda coming from talk radio/fox news that only give people reasons not to care about guv-ment (it's bad/coming to get you), the people trying to use it to help people are definitely in trouble, the steam roller is on its way. Corporate money, politicized/lieing SC, sabotaging/traitorous republicans who don't care about humans, and now us, guess the repubs win, chock one up for chaos.

Well Mark Twain was right about the idiots in Congress.
And I don't think he meant it in the same sense as that which wafts from the mouth holes of conservatives. We need bright people representing us.
I will say that our troubles far exceed politics now, but we are exacerbating our suffering to come by doddling around with these clowns in Congress.
