10 days after earthquake, doctor says - AP

No more news yet.

On edit:

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) -- A sixty-nine year old Haitian woman has been pulled from the rubble 10 days after Haiti's killer earthquake, but a doctor treating her says she is in bad condition and may not survive.

Dr. Ernest Benjamin tells The Associated Press that "There is very little hope, but we are trying to save her life." Doctors are treating her at Haiti's General Hospital after she was freed from the rubble Thursday morning, giving her oxygen and intravenous fluids.

It was not clear exactly where she was freed, but doctors say the site is near the capital's soccer stadium.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

On edit2:

There was a correction to the AP story - she was pulled Friday not Thursday.

5. I hope she'll be okay.
I can't imagine the suffering these people are going through. It makes our little problems seem petty, really.

8. Poor lady. After only 3 or 4 days without water the organs start shutting
down. Doubt she'll make it.
