6. Barr may be wrong on ALOT of things . . . |
|
but when it comes to defending the Constitution, he is a real ally. Barr was one of the most vocal critics, in either party, of the Patriot Act and other Bush Administration excesses.

9. He's a libertarian, as is Fein. |

Frankly, I don't understand how their support of this Supreme Court decision would shock you. They're both for as little government interference as possible. Sometimes, that position coincides with liberals. Sometimes, it does not.

11. It wouldn't shock me . . . |
|
but it wouldn't shock me if either, or both, of them were opposed to the decision. That is why I asked if anyone KNEW what their positions are.
We are now in a fight for the survival of small "d" democracy in the U.S., and we need as many allies as we can get.
I think this could be a truly non-partian issue, and I want to know who our friends are.

14. Barr is wrong on alot of things . . . INCLUDING "Citizens' United" |
|
I just tracked down a quote from Barr, who says the SCROTUS opinion was "clear, straight-forward and constitutionally-based."

4. Barr is a paid consultant of the ACLU |
|
The ACLU supported Citizens' United arguments.

8. Not entirely true, but I understand your point |

They filed a brief addressing a small section of the case, which wasn't in support of the broad, sweeping intention of the case.
I'm not absolving them of blame, but I'd really like to hear their explanation.

Remember this guy was one of those leading the charge against Big Dawg during impeachment
