Fox host defends Republicans’ right to smoke pot

Even Republicans should be able to get stoned, according to a Fox News anchor. While interviewing Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, Fox News' Gretchen Carlson found herself in the curious position of advocating for marijuana rights Friday.

Chong told Carlson that he wants to see marijuana legalized -- but not for Republicans. "We want to legalize pot for everyone that wants to smoke it. You know, we don't want to legalize it for Republicans."

5. "Only a week ago, the pair said they wanted to smoke with Sarah Palin
Marin believes she grows it herself in Alaska while Chong told Politico, "she answered a lot of questions like a stoner." "

10. Respectfully, no
I have several Republican friends (small business-critters, low tax supporters, know-nothing types) who smoke pot and are hardly Libertarian. In fact, we have some Republican legislators here in Tennessee who have witnessed the benefits of cannabis for their dying relatives and will likely be strong supporters of our effort to re-establish our state's medical cannabis program.

Most Republicans are lots of things (stupid, insensitive, selfish) but anti-pot they are not.

12. Their brains seem to be wired differently
Once they have a toke or two, they start demanding tax cuts.
