FOX news not airing Hope for Haiti. Are they that petty & heartless? |
|
Is it because a rival news anchor is co hosting, so it's not about them? They've disgraced themselves . . . fake Christians they are.

22. They constantly claim to represent "real" Americans |
|
with "real christian values."
They created and promote this idea that there is a war on Christmas because people apparently don't respect the "importance and real meaning of Christmas."
Every chance they get they inject Christianity into every report and broadcast and try to imply that their viewers are more moral than the people who watch other channels.
So, yes, Christianity has a lot to do with it.

28. True. When they spend so much of their time attacking the poor, |
|
Edited on Fri Jan-22-10 09:21 PM by ThomCat
blaming the poor for being poor, and constantly race-baiting, pushing racism as far as they think they can without being utterly blatant, they certainly aren't about to suddenly do an about-face and do a fundraiser for poor black people.
:(
I'm sure they do know their audience.
Racists aren't going to donate money to Haiti.
Believers in the prosperity gospel, and those who believe in blaming the poor for being poor aren't going to donate to the poor.
All the "America First" people who think all our money should be spent here, and the anti-immigration crowd who think we should close our borders aren't going to donate.
The tea-baggers seem terrified that someone else, someone unworthy, someone *gasp* probably poor and black will get something that they paid for somehow, so they won't support any money going to pay for anything. Not only wouldn't they donate, they'd find some way to convince themselves that your donation came out of their pockets too just so they could be outraged.

As the mouthpiece of the Repuke party, they must only support activities the enrich their "own kind". Giving to poor & helpless people would be "stupid", cuz "what's in it for ME?" No return on investment. :eyes:

39. I'm surprised with MSNBC running the show |
|
Even though it's that rival network thing. Then again, MSNBC runs clips on people on CNN's airways. CNN runs clips from MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS regularly as well. Plus Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta, MD have spent more time there than anybody else period. When the "" hits the fan, CNN is there and has been for 30 years. It's the ordinary stuff that gets them in trouble and has nearly since day one.

I really don't know the religious backgrounds of the Fox broadcasters, owners, etc. Or for that matter, the religions of people on other stations such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC,PBS etc. who were all showing it. Maybe they're of all faiths or agnostic or whatever. I did notice when it was on just about every station , it wasn't on FOX at least in my broadcast area, though there are two FOX stations here and I only checked one. That did not bother me. I was thinking that it being on so many stations at one time, it was media manipulative. I purposely refused to watch as I felt it was just so damned manipulated, like a national chest beating/ feel good show. If you have already given what you want, you don't need a bunch of performers to get you to give, do you? The disaster is enough in and of itself. I need some singer to get me to give? Duh? When John Edwards shows up in Haiti you know things have gone WAY over the edge, seeing how a certain book is coming out next week. I'm waiting for Tiger Woods to show up there tomorrow. Then tomorrow many will watch college football and the pro football playoffs on Sunday and go back to work on Monday. But the basic thing is, who the heck needs some celebrity show to give for a disaster.
