If Roman Polanski shouldn't be prosecuted for past crimes, then neither should Bush or Cheney. Right?

Fact is that Polanski was prosecuted- did serve some time, had a civil judgment rendered against him AND was effectively exiled from the US.

Now, tell us again how the three in any way equate?

It really is impressive how people go off on these emotional deals without thinking (or having any grounding in fact).

The guy was prosecuted, went through the usual sentencing/probation report, served 40 some odd days, copped a plea- which due to (what's credibly alleged to be) prosecutorial and judicial misconduct ended up being thrown out- whereupon he fled.

He also paid a civil judgment- and hasn't been back to the states since.

Now the pound of flesh crowd wants a LOT more (life in prison is the probable result) -and hates EVER have any other factors stand in the way of their lust for vengeance. Hence the current hue and cry.

Bush & Cheney have never remotely been held accountable for anything- anywhere.

Much like the executives from Peanut Corp. who actually killed people (and conveniently hide behind the corporate veil so none of their victims even sees a nickle of recompence).

Although Bush/Cheney's crimes are far more heinous... resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands(if not hundreds of thousands) of innocent people. AFAIK, Polanski isn't responsible for anyone's death(although he should not be let off the hook for raping a drugged teen).
