Florida's Official Unemployment rate up 0.3% to 11.8% |
|
The REAL WORLD unemployment rate here is more like 15% with people who's benefits have lapsed and with the drastically underemployed.
That's almost 1 in 6 Floridians are unemployed.
We need JOBS Governor Crist!
We need JOBS President Obama!

1. Rubio will benefit two ways from this. |

Just as long as he can keep from making the GOP look like it has any culpability.

Crist will tell you that the reason he cut taxes so much is to lure jobs.
As for Obama, someone tell me where this magic stick of Job creation is?, granted, he has been weak with Wall Street, but if Jobs could be summoned forth by wishes, we would be Billionaires by now.

Eligibility or receipt of UI benefits has NEVER been part of calculating the unemployment rate. It doesn't matter if your benefits are lapsed or if you've ever received benefits or if you've ever worked at all. If you did not work in the reference week, and actively looked for work in the previous 4 weeks, you're unemployed.
