you find orphans you'll find religions exporting them for profit, Haiti is no different. The LDS, the Catholics, and the Seventh Day Adventists will have the baby mill up and running in a matter of weeks.

average price a family pays to adopt from a religious organization overseas? The LDS has a huge orphanage in Haiti.

"Fees range from $4,000 to $10,000 based on 10 percent of the couple’s combined gross annual income as reported on a couple's previous year’s tax return. The cost of each adoption is subsidized by a grant from the LDS Church."

"ESTIMATED HAITI PROGRAM ADOPTION COST: $20,715 - $21,580
(Estimate includes agency, international, and travel fees ONLY.)"

*Childless, heterosexual married couples between the ages of 35-50 are eligible to adopt

*One previous divorce is accepted.

*Preference is given to Christian and Jewish families

Selling slaves never really ended in Haiti.

6. Hopefully this will be exposed in the coming weeks.
It's nothing but glorified human trafficking.

There was a much publicized orphanage out of Pittsburgh, the one Gov. Rendell travelled to Haiti and retrieved
the children from. Now I'm wondering if they also were a part of this. It was such a feel good story.

suffer are those middle-income couples who maybe just bought their first home only to find out they can't have children. They probably don't have 20,000 dollars for a baby. There is a story floating around about a couple actually paying their child in Haiti off, like it was a lay-a-way item. CNN reported it early in the coverage but then dropped it. The churches in places like Haiti don't have to report income so the government doesn't know how much they actually profit.

I suppose one could get the number of children sold I mean adopted in one year from Haiti and multiply by 20,000. Tidy little sum. Now here's the rub. Many liberal families will fight this notion because for them no price was too high. It's the problem with living in a self-centered universe, I got mine, I don't care if that family can't afford it. if we keep paying into this system families loose, only the wealthy or those who did the "lay-a-way plan" will be able to adopt.

Religion took the orphanage and turned it into BabyCo where every child has a price. With all the bad in Haiti right now we may actually be able to expose this infant market.
