Saying "The" makes it a play on the opening line of our Constitution "We the people of the United States of America" or perhaps the closing of the Gettysburg Address "Government of the people, for the people and by the people..."

But I'm still gonna magic-marker over the "the".
Most people on the road around here have never read the constitution... not even the preamble.
Not sure they're going to pick up my admittedly obscure reference to corporation personhood either... but I'm going with my gut on this one.

I like the "the". Corporations are made up of people, but THE people(all together as a whole) trump the corporations.
